Little Black Dress

Christmas eve I did some last minute shopping and picked myself up a few bargains. One of which is the little black dress that I'm wearing to work today.
I picked it up on sale from Target reduced to $26. My red furry shoes are by Alex and Alex.

Yesterday I wore to a grey outfit to work. The top is by Bettina Liano, my shorts are from Portmans and the wedges are by Tony Bianco. I'm loving the wedges right now!

Every three weeks I get my nails done by the lovely Amanda, who owns Saesha Nails and Beauty in Templestowe. Mandy does my nails in gel overlay and I usually pick an OPI nail polish colour from her extensive collection. For Christmas, Mandy did a bright red sparkle from the Muppets collection. The photo below was taken yesterday and as you can see, I was in desperate need for a rebalance! Mandy did my nails in a lovely coral colour. Unfortunately I left the salon thinking my nails were dry, and they were not! I completely ruined my nails and needed to remove the colour. So, I will not be uploading s photo until I re do my nails.

Mandy also gave me a spray tan, my first ever in fact. I showered this morning with the excess product washing off. I'm unsure yet if a spray tan is for me. I will let you know tomorrow.

During my lunch break, I'm going to pop down to Brunswick Street. I'm hoping to find a top for New Years! I will provide you with an update on how I go.

Christmas and first post

Hi and welcome to my first post.
I have had a wonderful Christmas with the family, eating way too much good food and drinking too many Mojitos and Long Island Ice teas. My in-laws are Italian and for some reason, they tend to cook waaaaaay too much food. I'm not sure if it is an Italian thing or if it is just their thing to cook too much food.

I'm the one wearing the blue and white polka dot dress.

Just to clarify, I'm not married to my partner...yet. We have been together for six years and we do live together, but too be honest I thought that A Builder's Wife sounds much better than A Builder's Girlfriend. Besides, when we do get married, I won't need to change the name of my blog. As you can probably guess, my partner is a builder. He is also a carpenter by trade.

I was very spoilt this Christmas. The boy ordered me a Thermomix, but I don't have it as yet ;( The Thermomix is a nifty little kitchen appliance that does oh so much, and it does it easily too. Once I do receive my Thermie, I will be sure to provide you all with more detail. I also received a voucher to attend a photography on location course from my sister in law, a Pandora charm from my mother in law and tickets to the Comedy Gala from the nephews. Oh and how can I forget, way too much chocolate!

I have two beautiful fur babies. They are Maltese Cross Shih Tzu. My boy is named Alex and he is aged two and my girl is named Rain and she is aged one. They are incredibly spoilt dogs who like to go on daily walks, eat human grade meat each night and sleep on our bed. Below is a picture of Alex and Rain with my mum and nephew.

Until next time....
